Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant in Georgia to join our patient care team. You will perform a variety of clinical tasks under the supervision of a physician or nurse, in line with established guidelines and standards.

Qualifications include a GED/HS diploma preferred, or graduation from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program; or at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience if education is limited. BCLS, CMA-AAMA or NCMA certs are required.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• If no formal education, 1 year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required or
• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
