Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, APP, or RN. The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent experience, with strong adherence to guidelines.

Candidates should hold BCLS, CMA-AAMA, or NCMA-NCTT certifications, and no prior experience is required or one year of related clinical experience may suffice depending on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• No experience required or in lieu of degree one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• CMA-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required.
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - NCTT required.
