Job summary

A regional health care provider is seeking qualified candidates for a role focused on directing patient care by collaborating with medical staff and guiding clinical personnel. Ideal candidates should have a Medical Assistant or nursing background, possess good interpersonal skills, and demonstrate flexibility in their scheduling. Previous experience with electronic medical records, especially in a pediatric setting, is preferred but not required. This full-time position provides essential support to a busy pediatric office.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and public.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating in 6 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager or will obtain this credentialing within 6 months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed LPN.
• Previous experience with electronic medical records.
• Previous experience in a Pediatric office is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary clinical personnel.
• Places the patient at the center of care.
• Collaborates and interacts positively with providers and other medical practice staff to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity.
• Completes clinical assessments of the patient by completing a history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in the patient's electronic medical record.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Full time, 72 hours per pay period

Duties and Key Responsibilities
