Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) as required by the NM Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification and willingness to pursue training.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, inhalation and topical medications under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Observe patients for drug reactions and report problems to the nurse.
• Record medication administration per agency procedures.
• Assist the nurse in providing client care and reporting needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all policies and procedures.
