Job summary

The Iowa Clinic is seeking qualified CMA, LPN, or RN professionals to join our Primary Care Float team in Central Iowa. You will provide nursing services across clinics with standard daytime hours at locations including Urbandale, West Des Moines, Ankeny, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs.
• Room patients and take vitals.
• Assist providers with patient triage and formulate initial plan of care.
• Spend time with patients to listen and understand their needs.
• Participate in department activities and team-building events.
• Return patient calls and ensure patients feel valued and cared for.

A day in the life...

Wondering what a day in the life of aCMA, LPN, or RN in Primary Care - Floatat The Iowa Clinic might look like?

• Arrive at work in the morning - no night shifts here!
• Provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures; Monday-Friday, standard clinic hours at our various Primary Care facilities: Urbandale, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Waukee, Johnston, Altoona, and Indianola!
• Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
• Room patients and take vitals
• Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
• Participate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunch
• Visit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinic
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for
• Leave in the evening - hooray for working standard clinic hours!

Required Licenses:

• Iowa RN license, CMA (AAMA) or LPN License required.
