CMA/LPN/RN - Family Medicine - Altoona (Full-Time)

Job Overview

Assist physicians by rooming patients, taking vitals and histories, triaging calls, and providing clinical assessments and advice in collaboration with the physician. An IA RN license, AAMA certification, or LPN license is required.

A Day in the Life
  • Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts!
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
  • Provide professional nursing services following established standards and procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' care needs.
  • Room patients, take vitals, perform Phlebotomy as needed.
  • Assist providers with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses, and formulate initial care plans.
  • Spend quality time with patients to listen and understand their needs.
  • Participate in team activities and check the intranet for volunteer opportunities and clinic updates.
  • Return patient calls ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
  • Leave in the evening, working standard clinic hours.
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments, including Phlebotomy.
