Job summary

Maggie’s Place is an innovative, boutique memory care community in Overland Park, Kansas. We are seeking a dedicated Life Services Coordinator - CMA to join our Maggie’s Place Memory Care team.

The role focuses on maximizing resident independence through personal care, medications, social activities, meals and other tasks to support well-being. Responsibilities

• Provides services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Resident Service Plans which may include grooming and dressing guidance, assistance with bathing, and medication reminders/ assistance
• Report any significant tenant changes to the nurse
• Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures
• Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions
• Prepare and serve meals/snacks, monitor food expiration dates and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Complete various housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and common spaces, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, make and change bed linens, laundry services.
• Maintain activity calendar and engage tenants in activities such as spiritual, educational, games, music, and physical activities
• Provide companionship
• Works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting
• Follows safety policies in performing care, assuring resident safety
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.

Shifts:

In general we offer 4, 8, and 12 hour shifts for our CMA positions. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions.

• Days: 6am-2:30 pm
• Evenings: 2pm-10:30pm
• Nights: 10pm-6:30am

Role
