Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital in Idaho is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant II to join our Urgent Care team. The role focuses on rooming patients, taking vital signs, injections, venipuncture, specimen processing, urinalysis, EKGs, and assisting procedures.

You will maintain infection control, prepare rooms, and manage supplies while receiving employer-provided training in basic radiology and IV starts to support professional growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with an active certification with the AAMA or NCCT or NHA.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
• Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain/document vital signs.
• Administer injections and perform venipuncture and specimen processing.
• Conduct urinalysis and EKG testing; assist with in-office procedures.
• Prepare and clean procedure rooms; maintain infection control standards and waste disposal.
• Ensure clinical supplies are stocked and organized; participate in training for radiology and IV starts.
