Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Urgent Care team in Lakeland. This is a part-time, on-site role in Rathdrum, ID.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, injections, venipuncture, EKG, urinalysis, and preparing rooms for procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, active CMA certification (AAMA/NCCT/NHA), BLS, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proof of BLS Certification is required.
• Must be a CMA with active certification with AAMA or NCCT or NHA.
• Aware of standards of cleaning and performs in accordance with them.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
• Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record vital signs, administer injections, perform venipuncture and urinalysis.
• Conduct EKG testing and set up/clean up procedure rooms for in-office procedures.
• Properly discard all biohazard and sharps waste and stock supplies.
• Follow aseptic technique and standard precautions in patient care and sample handling.
