Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to support clinical care in the Pulmonary & Sleep department. The role involves updating records, administering injections, taking vital signs, and assisting with examinations under physician guidance.

The position also covers administrative duties such as scheduling and staff training, emphasizing teamwork and a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 30 days of joining.
• Must be a CMA from NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA or related issuing bodies.

Responsibilities

• Update patient records and manage documentation.
• Administer injections and draw blood as directed by physicians.
• Set up treatment rooms and maintain sterile conditions.
• Assist in examinations and procedures under physician supervision.
• Handle scheduling, reminders, and other administrative tasks.
• Support training and mentoring of staff and promote teamwork.
