Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinic operations and direct patient care. You will work with physicians and care teams to ensure timely visits, room patients, take vitals, document history, and assist with procedures in a high-quality care setting.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS CPR plus CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certifications or equivalents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related work experience required.
• BLS CPR certification and CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or equivalent certification required

Responsibilities

• Delegates duties to clinic staff and manages operational issues.
• Serves as the point of contact for daily clinic operations and ensures patient flow.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures and maintains open communication for quality care.
• Administers medications as directed and maintains competency through evaluations.
