Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA or equivalent) required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to collect, record, and maintain patient data; proficient in charting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care and related tasks; checks in patients and takes histories.
• Performs venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile dressing changes per protocol.
• Prepares examination rooms; sterilizes instruments; maintains supplies.
• Educates patients on specified medical issues within guidelines.
• Handles administrative duties: phones, reception, billing and records.
• Follows safety and infection control practices.
