Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the six rights of medication administration (Right resident, Right medication, Right dose, Right time, Right route, Right documentation).
• Records information concisely, accurately, and completely.
• Stocks the medication cart and maintains a clean, organized medication room.

Responsibilities

• Distribute medications per physician orders and plan of care.
• Record and document all nursing actions clearly and timely.
• Cooperate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure resident care.
• Attend to wound care and basic treatment tasks as indicated by RN/LPN.
• Serve as a preceptor to new personnel and assist in orientation.
