Job summary

Coal County Healthcare Authority seeks a Charge Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants and certified medication aides at Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor, Coalgate, OK. The role ensures quality patient care aligned with facility standards and coordinates with the DON/ADON for staffing and care planning.

You will interface with physicians and the inter-disciplinary team to plan and implement nursing interventions, mentor staff, and drive smooth operations on your shift.

Qualifications

• Must hold Oklahoma RN license or be eligible for licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise nursing assistants and medication aides.
• Proficient in direct patient care and assessment of resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing staff on shift.
• Coordinate with DON/ADON to determine staffing needs.
• Administer medications as ordered and document accordingly.
• Liaise with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for care planning.
• Mentor and evaluate staff performance and competencies.
