Job summary

The Los Alamos Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our care team. The CMA will work under the charge nurse to ensure timely, accurate med passes and uphold the highest quality resident care at all times, in a supportive, patient-first environment.

Responsibilities include promptly reporting changes in patient condition, adhering to charting guidelines for PRN documentation, inventorying drugs, and participating in required trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• English communication in speech and writing.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.
• Current Medication Aide certification is required.

• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
