Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Med. Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision according to established guidelines and standards.

The role supports clinicians in delivering care and ensuring patient comfort. Qualified applicants have a GED or HS diploma; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program, or one year of related clinical experience in lieu of formal education.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required or
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required
• No experience required
• In lieu of degree one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT Required
