Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, APP, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Qualifications include a GED or higher, completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program (or 1 year of related clinical experience). BCLS and CMA/NCMA certifications are required or preferred, with NCMA certification highly valued.

Qualifications

• GED or higher preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN in accordance with guidelines and standards.
• Assist with daily patient care tasks and support staff as needed.
