Job summary

Ivy Creek Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. You will ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care, while promoting trust, compassion, and clear communication within our team.

The role includes clinical tasks such as participating in shift reports, providing routine patient care, adhering to infection control practices, and administrative duties like documenting PRN

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Participates in shift reports.
• Performs routine patient care following nursing policies and infection control guidelines.
• Employs preventative and restorative measures.
• Follows hand washing techniques and infection control guidelines.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follows charting guidelines for PRN documentation and medication reorder.

Job Summary

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will be under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

CLINICAL

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care in accordance with Federal, State, Company and Center nursing policies and procedures.
• Employs preventative and restorative measures.
• Follows hand washing techniques and other infection control guidelines during the performance of patient care.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder, etc.
• Participates in all assigned meetings.
• Participates in all training, education or in-service as required.
• Inventory drugs, on the designated forms, as they arrive.
