AMPLA HEALTH is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. The CMA supports providers and patients by delivering clinical and administrative assistance, maintaining efficient patient flow, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role involves rooming patients, documenting vitals in the EHR, assisting with medications and injections, collecting specimens, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are prepared.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Preferred: primary care/outpatient clinic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, obtain and document vitals and height/weight in the EHR.
  • Assist providers with patient care, including medications, injections, and immunizations.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens per procedures.
  • Enter and maintain patient information, orders, and documentation in the EHR.
  • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and clinical policies.
  • Provide patient education as directed by the provider.
  • Participate in staff meetings, CQI activities, and maintain professionalism.

Certified Medical AssistantAbout the PositionAmpla Health is seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. The CMA supports providers and patients by providing clinical and administrative assistance, maintaining efficient patient flow, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, obtain and document vital signs, height, and weight in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).Assist providers with patient care, including medications, injections, immunizations, and standing orders as directed.Collect and process laboratory specimens according to established procedures.Assist with referrals, prescription refills, patient callbacks, and care plan updates.Enter and maintain accurate patient information, orders, and documentation in the EHR.Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment.Follow infection control, safety, and clinical policies and procedures.Provide patient education as directed by the provider.Participate in staff meetings, training, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communication with patients, coworkers, and the community.May be required to work at other Ampla Health locations as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.Current Medical Assistant certification required.Current CPR certification required.Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient health information.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Primary care/outpatient clinic experience preferred.Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsAbility to stand and walk for most of the workday.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds on wheels.Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, sit, and stand as required.Position may involve exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens and requires adherence to appropriate safety and infection-control procedures.If you are a dedicated Medical Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team and providing excellent patient care, we encourage you to apply!
