Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Physician Services seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN, following established guidelines. This role supports clinical workflows and ensures safe, quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited MA program or nursing assistant program, with preferred GED. BCLS certification and CMA or NCMA are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred;
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required;
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN per established guidelines and standards.
• Support clinical workflows and patient care processes to ensure quality and safety.
