Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Physician Services in Georgia seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by providing patient care activities under supervision in accordance with established guidelines.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED (preferred), or completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program; or one year of relevant clinical experience in lieu of formal education. BCLS and CMA-AAMA or NCMA certification are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN according to established guidelines and standards.
• Support a variety of patient care tasks as directed by supervising clinicians.

Nursing Assistant program completion required
