The Governors Club in Brentwood, TN is seeking a hands-on hospitality leader to oversee clubhouse operations, including the kitchen, dining rooms, bars, and events. Reporting to the General Manager, you will build and mentor hospitality teams, uphold TrueService standards, and drive memorable member experiences.

Join a KemperSports-managed club near Nashville, with championship golf, historic character, and year-round member activity. Evening/weekend coverage is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of management experience in a private club or upscale hospitality setting.
• Strong food and beverage operating knowledge, including service standards and wine, beer, and spirits.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and develop teams while upholding accountability and respect.

About the Club

Located within a gated community of more than 600 acres in Brentwood, The Governors Club features an Arnold Palmer–designed championship golf course and the historic Pleasant Hill Mansion, built in 1854. Clubhouse amenities include multiple dining venues, two indoor bars, a swimming pool, a golf shop, and an outdoor cabana with casual dining and summer entertainment. An active social calendar brings members and their families together throughout the year.

The Opportunity

The Governors Club is seeking a hands‑on hospitality leader to oversee clubhouse operations, with food and beverage service at the heart of the role. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will develop hospitality teams, strengthen service consistency, and bring fresh ideas to dining, events, and the daily member experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead clubhouse operations, including the kitchen, dining rooms, bars, snack bars, beverage carts, and housekeeping; delegate effectively while remaining accountable for results.
• Maintain a visible presence during service and events, build member relationships, and respond to feedback with timely follow-through.
• Partner with culinary, event sales, and member experience leaders to deliver well‑coordinated dining, private events, and member programs.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop employees and department leaders in partnership with the General Manager and Human Resources.
• Uphold operating procedures and KemperSports TrueService standards, with ongoing training and clear expectations for service and professionalism.
• Work with the General Manager and Controller on budgeting, forecasting, labor management, event costing, and departmental financial performance.
• Oversee the care, presentation, and maintenance coordination of clubhouse facilities so spaces are consistently ready for members and guests.
• Collaborate across departments, communicate priorities clearly, and lead by example with a positive, practical approach to solving problems.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of management experience in a private club or comparable upscale hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
• Strong food and beverage operating knowledge, including service standards and wine, beer, and spirits.
• A demonstrated ability to hire, train, and develop teams, delegate responsibilities, and hold people accountable with respect.
• Financial acumen, including budgeting, labor planning, cost controls, and an understanding of HR policies and practices.
• An approachable hospitality style, strong listening and communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a sense of humor.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, POS, and time management systems.
• Private club experience and knowledge of EZ Suites are preferred.
• Strong candidates from upscale hotels, resorts, and restaurant operations are encouraged to apply.

This role requires an active presence during member dining and events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
