Responsibilities

Position OverviewPlease note: A United States physical address is required to complete this application.The Westmoor Club is currently seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join The Westmoor Club team. The Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, safety, and overall presentation of our Club facilities. This position helps create an environment that feels welcoming, polished, and cared for- for our members, guests, and fellow team members.Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining a variety of spaces throughout the Club, including the Clubhouse, Spa & Fitness Center, guest rooms, locker rooms, offices, and other common areas. Responsibilities include general cleaning, laundry, restocking, organization, waste removal, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns. Spa-specific responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of locker rooms, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms.The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and understands that the small details make a significant difference in the member experience.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of Club facilities in accordance with The Westmoor Club's housekeeping standards.Clean and maintain guest rooms, locker rooms, public restrooms, pool houses, the Croquet Bath, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.Complete daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning carpets, washing windows, and other general housekeeping duties.Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and other laundry as assigned.Properly use and monitor laundry chemicals and cleaning products in accordance with established safety procedures.Restock towels, linens, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other amenities while maintaining organized storage areas.Remove trash and recycling from assigned areas and maintain clean, neat, and organized workspaces.Safely operate, clean, and properly store housekeeping equipment and supplies.Identify and report maintenance, damage, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.Perform basic housekeeping-related tasks such as replacing light bulbs and addressing minor issues within the scope of the position. Escalate repairs or maintenance concerns that require additional expertise.Address minor plumbing-related issues, such as clogged sinks or toilets, when appropriate and within the scope of the position, and promptly report issues requiring maintenance assistance.Spa & Fitness Center: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of locker rooms and wellness areas, including hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms.Assist with scheduled Spa maintenance tasks, including water and filter changes, in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working throughout member and guest areas.Work collaboratively with fellow Housekeeping team members and other Club departments to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and service.Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with additional housekeeping or operational responsibilities as needed.Follow all Club policies, safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and housekeeping protocols.Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Rooms and Housekeeping.Requirements & QualificationsPrevious housekeeping or professional cleaning experience required; experience in a hotel, resort, private club, spa, or similar hospitality environment preferred.Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and polished environment.Reliable and dependable, with consistent attendance, punctuality, and follow-through.Professional and respectful communication skills, with the ability to interact appropriately with members, guests, and fellow team members.Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.Flexible and willing to assist with changing priorities and additional responsibilities as needed.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Basic ability to maintain accurate records related to inventory, supplies, laundry, and other housekeeping operations.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, cleaning protocols, and product labels in English.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and remain active for extended periods throughout the workday.Ability to frequently walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements as required to complete housekeeping duties.Ability to safely climb and work from ladders or step stools when performing tasks such as cleaning, restocking, or changing light bulbs.Ability to frequently climb stairs throughout the workday and navigate multiple levels of Club facilities.Ability to walk approximately two miles throughout a typical workday, depending on assignments and Club activity.Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull items weighing up to 35-50 pounds, including linens, cleaning supplies, laundry, trash, and housekeeping equipment.Ability to safely handle cleaning products and housekeeping equipment in accordance with established safety procedures.Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and tolerate exposure to heat, humidity, water, cleaning products, and other conditions associated with Club and Spa facilities.
