Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a part-time videoboard production assistant to support Club Sports media operations on campus in Lynchburg, VA. Under supervision, you will help produce shows, operate videoboards, film interviews and create post-event content.

Responsibilities include coordinating shoots, testing content formats, training students, and assisting the marketing team with promo videos and sponsorship ads for broadcasts.

Qualifications

• Assist in producing shows for Club Sports.
• Filter videos allowed on Club Sports site and YouTube channels.
• Monitor quality and maintain Liberty standards.
• Create and edit promotional videos for teams.
• Create and edit interviews for updates to interactive/video experience.
• Create and edit video recaps from Club Sports events.
• Organize and coordinate video shoots.
• Set up video equipment for shoots.
• Conduct interviews and film b-roll during shoots.
• Help operate videoboards at specific club events.
• Run videoboards at sporting events.
• Assist in content creation for video boards.
• Load and test content to ensure files format and play properly.
• Assist as liaison between Club Sport coaches and video/media production.
• Train students to do Broadcast production.
• Work with Flames Central Production Crew.
• Join Production Crew when needed.
• Support marketing on promotional videos & TV items – sponsorship ads.
• Assist in Broadcasting Club Sport events.
• Train students on equipment use.
• Create/post season coverage for certain teams.
• Serve in capacity supporting department needs.
• Provide support to coaches/Student-athletes as needed.
• Assigned duties from supervisor.
• Remain abreast of existing and emerging technologies and industry benchmarks.

Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
