Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Club Manager to oversee gym operations, lead a team, and ensure a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone for members. You will drive sales, recruit and train staff, and maintain facility standards while coordinating payroll, marketing, and member services.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to exceptional service. Full-time, on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service
• Previous management experience is preferred
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, Trainers and Custodians.
• Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Staff Management – Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered; Lead by example and maintain accountability for direct reports; Administer payroll.
• Involved in all front desk related activities: answer phones, check members in, sign-ups, tours, and member requests.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility and safety of employees, members, and property; communicate repairs timely.
• Manage marketing efforts and promotions; authorize expenditures and refunds; make daily bank deposits.
• Prepare HR forms and coordinate with Corporate Payroll; track statistics and reports; provide backup support for absent employees.
