Job description

Job Title: Club Manager
Reports to: District Manager
Status: Full Time/Supervisor/Exempt/Non-Exempt
Job Summary

Responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure positive member experience and a financially successful club.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise team members.
  2. Member service oversight making sure all team members are providing a great customer service experience at all times.
  3. High involvement in all front desk related tasks: greeting and welcoming members, gym tours, member service issues/questions, etc.
  4. Provide support for team members and club members.
  5. Create and maintain a positive image for the club.
  6. Coaching and counseling performance to help achieve company standards.
  7. Ensure prompt opening/closing of gym.
  8. Ensure staff are aware and trained on all current marketing promotions.
  9. Finish manager portion of onboarding, in Paycom, for all new hires.
  10. Ensure the club is open and staffed during all hours of business.
  11. Ensuring self and team members are implementing and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  12. Responsible for ordering supplies and tracking inventory.
Essential Behavior Requirements

  2. Listening: actively listens to customers, empathizes and works together to solve the problem.
  3. Problem Solving: recognizes and defines problems; analyzes relevant information; encourages alternative solutions and plans to resolve situations; seeks additional assistance when needed.
  4. Diplomacy: demonstrates tact and skill in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
  5. Communication: Ability to maintain timely and effective communication with staff, supervisors, and various departments to increase productivity and to prevent misunderstandings or disagreements from arising.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Honesty and good work ethic
  2. At least 1 year of equivalent managerial experience
  3. Strong customer service skills
  4. Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
  5. Basic computer proficiency
Physical Demands
  1. Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
  2. Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
  3. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
