Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina is seeking Club Lounge Attendants to deliver warm, personal service with genuine southern hospitality. You will greet guests, serve beverages and light fare, and ensure the lounge is clean, organized, and well stocked.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of serving experience, can work independently or in a team, and communicate clearly in English. A passion for extraordinary guest experiences is essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of serving or serving assistant experience.
• Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
• Bar knowledge with liquor, beer and wine preferred.
• Excellent communication in English (verbal and written).
• Pass a background check.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve with warmth and southern hospitality.
• Maintain order of all food and beverages in the Club Lounge.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Club Lounge.
• Serve all food and beverage needs of guests.
• Control lounge inventory and supplies.
• Manage guest requests with initiative and attentiveness.
• Maintain professionalism during busy periods.
• Make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Uphold resort policies and values.

Job description

Position Summary:

Club Lounge Attendants are expected to always exhibit a great personality with an engaging smile, demonstrate a strong attention for detail, and uphold a high level of standards in order to create an incredible experience for each guest. Additionally, they will communicate guest needs and preferences to ensure the most personalized service possible, all while creating a welcoming lounge environment for all who enter the Club Lounge.

Pay Rate:

The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of serving, or serving assistant, experience required.
• Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
• Bar knowledge with some experience serving liquor, beer, and wine preferred.
• Effective conflict resolution and organization skills, professional and cooperative demeanor, and positive and energetic attitude are imperative.
• Must possess a passion for providing extraordinary service.
• Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve with warmth, sincerity, and genuine southern hospitality.
• Maintain order of all food and beverage in the Club Lounge.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Club Lounge.
• Service all food and beverage needs of guests.
• Control lounge inventory including food, alcohol, soft drinks, silverware, glassware, china, linens, serving pieces, and buffet presentation pieces.
• Will need to manage time effectively, actively listen to guest requests and employ initiative to resolve each request.
• Will maintain a professional demeanor and composure, regardless of business levels.
• Will be able to improvise when necessary and make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift minimum weight of 25 lbs. across short-medium distances.
• Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping as needed.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
• Must be able to reach, bend, lift, and carry trays / ovals.
