Western Hills Country Club in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Sous Chef/ Kitchen Manager to join our team for full-time employment. The role requires evenings, weekends and flexible hours to support member dining experiences.

The candidate will oversee kitchen operations, mentor staff, and maintain high standards of quality, cost control and safety. Competitive pay and benefits are offered in a club environment focused on exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Degree from post-secondary and/ or certification in a culinary arts program (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience as a Cook, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager with a proven track record of growth.
• Management experience of hiring staff, coaching, performance management, discipline and counseling, is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in supervising food production for all outlets and banquets.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure quality and cost standards.
• Assist with inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and issuing for food production.
• Assist Executive Chef with supervision and training of employees, sanitation and safety, menu planning and related production activities.
• Budgeting and planning, monitoring financial results and taking corrective action as needed.
• Maintain equipment maintenance and security; manage inventories.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and assist in daily line-ups with dining services.
• Ensure presentation and consistency of foods meet quality standards.
