Job summary

Westerfield Club in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to join Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality management. The role focuses on building and grounds upkeep, basic repairs, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or relevant maintenance experience, and demonstrates knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and pool equipment, with reliable attendance and a readiness to learn and grow in a busy hospitality

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two years of related maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and pool equipment.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds.
• Maintains exterior cleanliness and appearance, including trash, sweeping walkways, and outdoor furniture.
• Maintains interior cleanliness and appearance, including trash, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and furniture arrangement.
• Identifies and reports needed supplies to supervisor.
• Performs quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Checks and responds to security and safety issues.
• Tests and recommends new maintenance products.
• Coordinates deliveries from vendors and suppliers.
• Keeps documents of inspections and problems.
• Performs landscaping, pool maintenance and pest control.
• Keeps an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies.
• /training junior staff, if applicable.
• Performs other duties as required.
