Job description

We are a private, member-based hunting and fishing club dedicated to outdoor traditions, wildlife conservation, and exceptional service. With nearly 3000 acres of pristine land and waters, we offer members access to premier fishing, shooting, and hunting experiences in a relaxed, well-maintained environment. Our club is limited to 45 members, has over a 138 year history and a rich culture.We are currently seeking a dedicated Club Foreman to oversee safe daily operations, ensure member satisfaction, and help us thrive.

Job Summary

The Club Foreman is responsible for the safe overall management of club operations, facilities, and services. This includes field work, supervising staff and subcontractors, coordinating events, managing budgets, overseeing land, equipment maintenance, and providing outstanding service to members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety is the top priority of the HFA and as such, ensuring and maintaining the highest levels of safety in: work environments, working conditions, contractor work, HFA events, and HFA activities is critical.
  • Ensure Master Work Plan is met or exceeded on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Oversee safe day-to-day operations of the club, including hunting and fishing programs
  • Ensure safety, wildlife, and land-use regulations are met
  • Manage staff and subcontractors
  • Coordinate and schedule club events, hunts, and fishing excursions
  • Ensure all facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards
  • Manage budgets, supplies, and vendor relationships
  • Maintain positive relationships with members and handle inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Assist with marketing, membership retention, and recruitment efforts
  • Support the HFA in its mission to provide and maintain good fishing for its members; to manage the Club’s land consistent with good conservation practices; and to provide members with good shooting and hunting. In general to do all things incidental to above purposes.
Qualifications
  • Prior management experience in an outdoor recreation, hospitality, or club setting
  • Strong work ethic, knowledge of hunting, fishing, and land/wildlife management practices
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with basic administrative tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, scheduling software)
  • Ability to work weekends, some holidays during peak seasons as and when required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and other relevant licenses
