Job summary

Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Associate Accountant to join a tight-knit accounting team. You will manage AR and AP activities, post transactions from source documents, and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.

Reporting to the Club’s Controller, you will generate financial reports, support month-end close, and contribute to enhancing accounting policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience, including AR/AP/payroll/general ledger/financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and manipulation.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales reconciliations and posting of revenues and receipts.
• Maintain and reconcile cash drawers; prepare bank deposits.
• Process accounts payable; schedule and prepare checks; resolve discrepancies.
• Post member payments and assist with account inquiries.
• Prepare and distribute monthly membership statements; reconcile credit card accounts.
