University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and related areas. Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required.
The Rapid Response Lab provides services to Jacobs Medical Center, Moore's Cancer, and other outpatient areas. A CLS performs patient testing and works in subspecialty areas of the laboratory - Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Blood Gas.
Annual Full Pay Range: $110,079 - $145,408 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $52.72 - $69.64
