Company Description
We are a leading manufacturer of water valves and fire hydrants. We are a division of McWane Corporation with sister companies in the US and Canada. The Iowa Valve Company was established in Oskaloosa in 1909 by W W Corey and Herman W Read to build hydrants and valves. The original location of “THE VALVE” is the current Machine Shop location on South Second St. The original buildings are still part of that facility. The Eddy Valve Company was founded in 1849 by George Eddy in Waterford, New York. In 1878, Clow was formed in Chicago as a jobber of wrought iron pipe and other foundry products. The company was then known as James B Clow and Sons. Clow acquired Eddy Valve in 1945 and Iowa Valve in 1947. These were operated separately until 1970 when they merged in Oskaloosa under Clow Corporation, Valve Division.

Job Description
Clow Valve's Metal Casting Facility has an immediate opening for a Brass Cut Off Saw Operator.
This is a 3rd shift position.
Starting wage: $24.42/hour.
A $500 sign-on bonus is offered after completing a 120-day probationary period.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading castings into Pangborn machine.
• General clean-up of the Pangborn machine area.
• Set-up and tooling of the cut off saw.
• Cutting apart castings and sorting into appropriate bins.
• General clean-up of the cut off saw area.

Qualifications
Candidates should be able to:

• Lift/carry more than 50 lbs.
• Bend, twist, and stand for over 8 hours.
• Read, write, and understand training instructions.
• Work in extreme heat conditions.
• Operate machinery including ladles, cranes, and forklifts.
• Use proper PPE such as respirators, metatarsal boots, eye and hearing protection, and aluminized gear.
