Gallagher's eShepherd R&D team in North America seeks a senior engineer to own production cloud infrastructure at scale. You’ll work with Melbourne and Hamilton teams, ensuring performance and reliability as the platform grows across regions.

You’ll profile slow paths, plan capacity, and drive IaC and CI/CD with data-driven decisions. You’ll support incident response and collaborate across time zones, shipping meaningful automation.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience running production cloud infrastructure on AWS at scale.
• Deep MySQL database expertise: schema design, query performance, indexing, tuning.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident response and postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Own production cloud infra for eShepherd at scale across North America.
• Profile performance bottlenecks, plan capacity, and propose fixes with measurable impact.
• Drive IaC, CI/CD tooling and deployment automation with cross‑region alignment.
