Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Security Engineer for the Wireless Security Assessments team to build cloud-based detection systems for wireless threats at scale. You will turn RF telemetry and sensor logs into production detection logic and develop data pipelines that surface anomalies for security posture validation.

You will also apply AI-assisted workflows to automate routine collection and triage, and conduct targeted on-site wireless assessments when needed, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security-related experience.
• 3+ years in detection engineering, security data analysis, or security operations engineering.
• 1+ years with wireless security tools and concepts (RF capture, spectrum analysis, 802.11/Bluetooth/IoT/cellular).
• Experience writing production detection logic or threat signatures.
• Experience with log aggregation and analysis platforms (Splunk, OpenSearch, ELK).
• Experience with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Python or similar for tooling, automation, and data analysis.
• Experience with threat modeling or risk identification techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-based detection logic for wireless threats using telemetry from distributed sensor systems.
• Analyze large-scale security data to identify anomalies, trends, and security issues.
• Develop data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and enrich wireless telemetry for continuous assessment.
• Own wireless security investigations from framing through outcome delivery.
• Leverage AI-assisted workflows for data collection, triage, and pattern recognition.
• Conduct targeted on-site wireless assessments when physical validation is required.
• Author risk-calibrated findings and drive remediation with facility owners and partners.
• Build tools and automation to increase detection coverage and operational efficiency.
• Present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Engage with partner teams to educate on wireless security topics.
