Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to advance threat detection, correlation and response at scale.

You will research threats, develop criticality markers, and build scalable detection methods, working closely with engineering and product teams to improve visibility across AWS customers. The role requires hands-on security engineering with Python scripting, cloud development, and knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating threats and vulnerabilities with criticality-based prioritization.
• Proficiency in scripting in Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell for security tasks.
• Experience developing cloud-based software using Java and AWS tools.
• Understanding of web protocols, attacks, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts and multi-cloud design considerations.
