Job summary

Masimo in Irvine, CA seeks an Engineer II for Cloud & Web Systems Software to design, develop, test, and support cloud-based and web-enabled software across Masimo’s connected platforms and medical device ecosystems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure applications in a regulated environment, with emphasis on RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud pipelines. This onsite role requires strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required
• 2–5 years of software engineering experience in cloud, web, backend, full-stack, or distributed systems development
• Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular or similar technologies
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of web services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native and web-based software applications, services, APIs, and system integrations
• Contribute to scalable backend architectures and modern web app development supporting connected medical technologies and enterprise platforms
• Develop and maintain software using modern programming languages and cloud technologies such as Java, Python, AWS, Azure, Spring Boot, Oracle Cloud
• Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems architectures
• Participate in frontend and backend development activities, including UI implementation, database integration, and service-layer development
• Support cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and DevOps practices including CI/CD automation, containerization, and environment management
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure software compliance and security
• Participate in software verification, validation, debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
• Contribute to software documentation including design specifications, architecture docs, test protocols, and release docs
• Support software lifecycle activities in medical device development environments as required
• Participate in code reviews, peer collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Assist in evaluating new technologies to improve performance and development efficiency
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance for released applications and cloud services
• Collaborate with project managers, systems engineers, product teams, and partners to deliver projects
