Job summary

Masimo in Irvine, CA is seeking an Engineer II, Software Automation to develop and maintain scalable test automation for complex, distributed systems. You will build libraries, run hardware-in-the-loop testing, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines across on-prem and cloud deployments.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to improve testability, reliability, and coverage, contributing to standards in a regulated medical-device environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in software development or test automation.
• Knowledge of verification and validation methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages (Python, C#, C++, Java).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and modern software practices.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and support infrastructure.
• Build reusable test libraries, device interfaces, protocol libraries, utilities, and components across platforms.
• Create hardware-in-the-loop solutions for devices and external systems to enable reproducible testing.
• Develop automation for system, integration, functional, regression, and performance testing across microservice-based software and cloud infra.
• Validate protocol and data integrations between in-house and third-party devices and services.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback.
• Develop automated test execution, data collection, logging, reporting, and results analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test strategies, observability, and testability.
• Contribute to system and product test strategies with emphasis on automation and scalability.
