Job summary

AbbVie in South San Francisco, CA seeks an Information Research professional to help build and deploy digital solutions for pharmaceutical R&D. You will partner with scientists and IT teams to identify needs, define requirements, and drive implementation from concept to testing and change management.

You will lead cross-functional sessions, translate requirements into designs, and help deploy scalable data sharing workflows across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years technical experience, or Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.
• Experience in Cloud deployment, DevOps, and system integration.
• Knowledge of .NET, Python, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, or any other scripting language.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
• Must be deliverable focused and detail oriented. Must have a strong customer focus.
• Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills.
• Experience in AWS is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on technical experience for application configuration/deployment or package selection and implementation efforts.
• Provides comprehensive consultation to business units and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of application deployment and process implementation for diverse development platforms.
• Design system-to-system data sharing workflows utilizing leading system integration protocols and integration patterns.
• Translating functional specifications into application design specifications and architectures.
• Interact with Business Systems Analysts, client user community, and IT management to identify technical solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security teams to deploy and integrate AbbVie technical services.
• Coordinate and facilitate application design sessions with development staff.
