Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior System Administrator with active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance to manage Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux in AWS and on-prem environments.

You will develop automation with SaltStack, Ansible, Bash and Python, maintain cloud infrastructure, and ensure security and compliance. Salary ranges from $165,000 to $175,000 with full benefits and strong PTO.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance required.
• Security+ certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 5 years experience substituted for degree.
• 15 years of System Administrator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration and support for Windows Server 2019/2022, AD, DNS, CA and Windows clients.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux distributions in AWS.
• Deploy and maintain cloud environments, primarily within AWS with on-prem support.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using SaltStack, Ansible, Bash and Python.

• 5 additional years of experience as a System Administrator may be substituted for a degree

Job Description

• Provide administration and support for Windows Server 2019 and 2022 environments, including Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Authorities and manage Windows 10/11 client systems.
• Administer and troubleshoot various Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL8/9, AmazonLinux 2023) within AWS.
• Deploy, and maintain robust cloud environments, primarily within AWS, while also supporting existing on-premises server infrastructure.
• Develop, implement and maintain automation scripts and configurations using SaltStack, Ansible, Bash and Python to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and deployment processes

Required Experience

• AWS cloud resources, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other core services.
• SaltStack, Ansible, Bash and Python
• Windows Server 2019 and 2022 environments,
• Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL8/9, Amazon Linux 2023) within AWS.

Salary: $165,000 - $175,000 annually
