Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. seeks a seasoned System Engineer to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud environments, primarily AWS, while also supporting on‑prem infrastructure.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph and a deep background in Windows/Linux, CI/CD pipelines, and SaltStack. This full‑time Maryland position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days PTO, 11 holidays, 100% employer‑paid health care for employees and dependents day one, and an 8% 401(k)

• 20 years experience as a system engineer
• Bachelor's degree required; substitution possible with 5 additional years
• Experience architecting and deploying cloud environments, esp. AWS, with on‑prem support

Job Description

• Architect, deploy, and maintain robust cloud environments, primarily within AWS, while also supporting existing on-premise server infrastructure

Required Experience

• Windows Server 2022, Windows 10/11, and various Linux distributions within both cloud and on-premise.
• SaltStack experience with integration and operational stability of CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud resources, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, AMIs, Route 53, workspaces, and other core services
