Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience designing and/or operating networks.
• A degree in information technology, computer science or relevant field; substitution per LCRA guidelines for experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and optimize Azure VMs and supporting infrastructure, including PaaS services for hosting modern web apps.
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Networks with secure routing and segmentation.
• Apply strong security and identity practices across Azure resources (RBAC, managed identities, conditional access).
• Manage Azure Storage and backup strategies for data protection and lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, DDoS protection, and WAF configurations for secure cloud ops.
• Lead and support cloud migration efforts to Azure with minimal downtime.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Azure Cloud Services systems and a solid background in VNETs, App Services, Storage,DDoS, WAF, PaaS. How You’ll Contribute

• Build, configure, and optimize Azure Virtual Machines and supporting computer infrastructure, including Azure PaaS services for hosting and managing modern web applications.
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Networks, including routing, segmentation, and network security controls.
• Apply strong security and identity management practices across Azure resources, including RBAC, managed identities, and conditional access.
• Manage Azure Storage solutions and backup strategies to ensure resilience, data protection, and efficient lifecycle management.
• Implement, tune, and maintain firewall policies, DDoS Protection, and Web Application Firewall configurations for secure cloud operations.
• Lead and support cloud migration efforts, ensuring smooth transitions of workloads, systems, and services into Azure with minimal downtime.

How You’re Qualified

• Nine or more years of experience in designing and/or operating networks or relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in information technology, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

How You’ll Stand Out

• Demonstrated expertise building, migrating, and maintaining Azure PaaS environments, including Virtual Machines, VNETs, firewalls, backups, and identity/security controls.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure PaaS services supporting web applications, ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure deployments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud network architectures, including routing, subnetting, VPNs, WAF, and DDoS protection.
• Solid background in cloud governance, infrastructure design, and solution architecture—capable of driving projects with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication and documentation skills, enabling effective cross‑team collaboration with engineering, security, and application teams.
• Self‑starter mindset with the ability to contribute immediately, quickly adapt to complex environments, and deliver reliable cloud solutions.
