Job summary

Nightwing seeks a hybrid Systems Engineer / Dev Engineer / DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and collaborate with software teams to release code safely and quickly. Responsibilities include provisioning AWS and on-prem servers with IaC, building CI/CD pipelines, scripting in Python or Bash, and managing Docker containers with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Go and Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• TS/SCI with polygraph required Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud environments (AWS) and on-premises servers using IaC.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Write scripts to automate operations and integrate backend systems.
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage Kubernetes deployments.
• Instrument observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog; set real-time alerts.
• Collaborate with software developers and IT operations to design fault-tolerant architectures.
• Enforce security best practices and manage secrets.
