Job summary

MaziCTools is looking for a skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to join their team in the United States, focusing on infrastructure services using cloud technologies like AWS. You will support Windows Server environments, migrate systems to the cloud, and automate processes using scripts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft and cloud technologies, and a strong commitment to ITIL standards. Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications and experience with virtualization technologies.

Qualifications

• Excellent troubleshooting ability with Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, and 2008.
• Experience with Linux and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Expert knowledge of Active Directory.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Experience building highly available, scalable environments.
• Experience with database migration and backup solutions such as Veeam.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization, server, and operating system technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud services including Infrastructure as a Service and both public and private clouds.
• Strong emphasis on following ITIL standards and maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Ability to remain calm during crisis situations and provide leadership and direction.
• Strong team-player skills in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and customer service focus.
• Preferred: AWS certifications, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), experience with storage platforms, clustering, and hypervisor technologies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Designing, implementing, migrating, and supporting virtual Windows environments.
• Creating PowerShell and Python scripts to automate environmental processes for customers.
• Creating and implementing AWS environments.
• Building Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and EC2 instances.
• Managing Storage Gateways and Amazon FSx file server migrations, including data sync tasks.
• Working with AWS Systems Manager and maintaining AWS consoles for customer environments.
• Applying security solutions such as McAfee, Symantec, antivirus, and SIEM technologies.
• Designing, implementing, and performing cloud migrations for the infrastructure engineering organization.
• Migrating customer environments to AWS using Cloud Endure or similar tools.
• Creating Infrastructure as Code via CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Engaging with engineering teams to support existing customer environments.
• Providing support for technology transformation and refresh initiatives.
• Partnering with suppliers, architects, engineers, developers, and customers to provide expert guidance on upcoming and innovative technologies.
• Applying technical expertise to solve complex project-specific problems.
