Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated contractor to join our team as an Intermediate Cloud Systems Engineer. You will provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure across VPCs, EC2, S3, IAM, and EKS, using IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with security, networking, and software teams, learn new cloud technologies under guidance from senior engineers, and document configurations and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with core AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, EKS).
• Understanding of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups).
• Familiarity with IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access.
• IaC experience using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring with CloudWatch and CloudTrail; logging practices.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure components supporting EDP environments (networking, compute, storage, IAM, logging/monitoring).
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and other approved tools.
• Support CI/CD pipelines used to deploy infrastructure and platform configurations across environments.
• Maintain source-controlled infrastructure code in Git-based repositories (GitLab preferred).
• Assist with AWS networking components: VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, connectivity.
• Support containerized workloads on EKS and basic troubleshooting.
• Configure and maintain platform monitoring, dashboards, and health checks using AWS services.
