Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Cloud Systems Architect to engineer and support public, private, and hybrid clouds in Arlington. The role emphasizes AWS and Azure proficiency, scalable cloud design, and secure, integrated systems across on-premise and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has mid-level experience with cloud infrastructure, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to guide customers on best practices while supporting government IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing technologies and migration to the cloud.
• Ability to build relationships between customers and teams.
• Knowledge to integrate services and tools across networks and data processing.
• Experience implementing security measures to protect assets.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, Node, Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on cloud management strategies to optimize workloads and cost.
• Collaborate with IT Security to manage cloud system security.
• Engineer on customer premise applications interconnected to cloud resources.
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determine system specifications, IO processes, and security for hardware/software.
• Coordinate subsystems design and total system integration; resolve deficiencies.
• Provide technical guidance for database administrators and developers.
