Cloud Systems Architect – CGS Federal (Contact Government Services)

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Mid‑level

Department: Information Technology

Pay Range: $167,032.32/yr – $226,686.72/yr (based on skills and experience)

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect with experience building and supporting public, private, and hybrid clouds. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of cloud hosts, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, and will design and engineer cloud infrastructure for government customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as advisor on cloud management strategies to maximize benefits of cloud computing.
• Collaborate with the IT Security team to manage and maintain security of cloud data and network resources.
• Engineer applications and systems on customer premises that interconnect with cloud resources.
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and security.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system; identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing technologies and platforms (AWS and Azure).
• Ability to migrate applications to the cloud.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships between customers and team members.
• Knowledge of integrating services and tools across networks and data processing.
• Experience implementing security information and event management to protect customer assets.
• Experience meeting or exceeding cloud provider service‑level agreements.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails.
• Typically a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent).
