Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to support SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance for USSOCOM. The role is based at Camp H.M. Smith, HI, with responsibilities spanning cloud provisioning, governance, security, and optimization of AWS/Azure environments.

You will work closely with the CIO/J6 and end-users to ensure 24x7x365 operational readiness and modernized cloud solutions. The position requires DoD TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570 IAT II, and 2+ years of AWS/Azure

Qualifications

• BS + 2 years of experience OR HS with 6 years of experience OR AA with 4 yrs of experience.
• DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
• At least 2 years of relevant IT experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of AWS/Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.
• Proven track record in managing production Windows Servers and implementing top-tier security practices within an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating platforms and office applications.
• This position demands a comprehensive understanding of government PAAS, SAAS coupled with advanced skills in analysis, troubleshooting, and system design.
• Demonstrated ability in performance optimization and system engineering processes

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the AWS/Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
• Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
• Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
• Ensure all resources components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
• Innovate and implement new technologies to advance mission readiness.
