Job summary

Wyetech is hiring for a Linux- and cloud-focused IT role supporting federal government clients. You will operate and troubleshoot cloud-based analytic platforms, provide Tier 1–3 infrastructure support, and assist with containerized technologies across diverse environments.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly, 3+ years in IT, and a DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Expect collaboration with engineering teams, Linux-centric duties, and on-call coverage within Maryland regional contracts.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly.
• 3+ years of IT experience in cloud-hybrid environments, systems administration, and virtualization technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field; equivalent to 2 years of experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of core Linux operating system components.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of cloud-based analytic platforms.
• Provide Tier 1–3 support for infrastructure and system-level issues.
• Troubleshoot operational issues within Linux environments.
• Manage RedHat/CentOS provisioning using kickstart.
• Perform Linux/Unix networking analysis using tools such as nmap and tcpdump.
• Support DNS administration including hosts files and DHCP.
• Assist with containerized and distributed platform technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve system performance issues.
• Support on-call operational requirements.

Pay Range: $75.67 - $102.47 per hour*

Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
