Job summary

Wyetech, LLC seeks a mid-level Cloud System Administrator to apply Site Reliability Engineering principles with Infrastructure as Code. You will configure AWS EC2 environments using Terraform and Ansible, align with AWS Well-Architected Frameworks, and help automate operations for mission-critical systems.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly, Linux proficiency, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, with opportunities across multiple Maryland-based and national locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field; equivalent to two years of experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
• 3+ years of IT experience in cloud-hybrid environments, systems administration, and virtualization technologies.
• Solid understanding of core Linux operating system components.

We are seeking a mid-level Cloud System Administrator. This role integrates Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)principles with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure the reliability and security of mission‑critical systems. The candidate should be experienced setting up and configuring AWS EC2 environments, use of Terraform and Ansible to manage IaC andunderstanding of AWS Well Architected Frameworks (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization,and sustainability).

In addition, the candidate should be familiar with all aspects of Site Reliability Engineering to assist the team with automating operationaltasks, designing resilient systems, implementing monitoring and logging.The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment, is self-motivated and proactively completes tasks with strong attention to detail

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities

• Perform basic Linux tasks to include SSH to remotely connect to a linux machine, install software in linux (RPM, YUM), understand docker, kubernetes, traefik etc and gather status from linux machines.

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
• 3+ years of experience in IT, specifically working with cloud-hybrid environments, systems administration, and virtualizationtechnologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or another related technical field isrequired and will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
• A solid understanding and working knowledge of core Linux operating system components

Required Certifications

The following certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required:

• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
• CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Possession of a Cloud and DoD8571 IAT Level II certifications are required and will be verifiedas part of the interview or offer process

Pay Range: $75.67 - $102.47 per hour*
